On Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 12:30 p.m., the Aspen Institute Germany will host a discussion titled “The U.S. Presidential Election and the Concept of Freedom” with Julian Heißler, U.S. Correspondent for WirtschaftsWoche. In addition to his journalistic work, Julian Heißler published a book in 2023 that deals with the positive and negative perceptions of the American concept of freedom. Together, we want to take a closer look at the subject of freedom in the USA, especially in view of the presidential election in November. In doing so, we will also discuss Julian Heißler’s book and his personal experiences as a correspondent in Washington, D.C. The discussion will be moderated by Katja Greeson, Program Director, Transatlantic Program. If you are interested in participating, please contact Sinu Krohner (krohner@aspeninstitute.de).
